Journal of Exercise Physiology and Human Performance (JOSPHE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge of the physiological, cognitive, psychological, functional, occupational, and environmental factors that shape human performance. JOSPHE provides a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, clinicians, academics, and practitioners to communicate contemporary evidence concerning exercise, human performance, health, rehabilitation, occupational functioning, and performance optimization across diverse populations and settings. The journal recognizes that human performance is influenced by complex interactions among biological systems, physical activity, cognition, psychological factors, behavior, environment, and social and organizational contexts. The journal welcomes original and interdisciplinary research from fields including exercise physiology, sports science, physiotherapy, rehabilitation sciences, neuroscience, psychology, nursing, occupational health, ergonomics, human factors, management, and related disciplines. Particular emphasis is placed on research that investigates mechanisms, adaptations, interventions, assessment methods, and contextual determinants of physical, cognitive, functional, and occupational performance. JOSPHE covers research across four broad areas: (1) exercise and sport performance, including exercise physiology, training adaptation, fatigue and recovery, sports nutrition, biomechanics, fitness, injury prevention, and performance assessment; (2) cognitive and mental performance, including cognition, neuroscience, psychological well-being, stress, sleep, motivation, emotional regulation, and decision making; (3) occupational health, leadership, and workforce performance, including occupational physiology, ergonomics, work capacity, occupational fatigue, productivity, leadership, organizational behavior, work engagement, and human factors; and (4) rehabilitation and functional performance, including physiotherapy, rehabilitation interventions, functional capacity, return to activity and work, disability management, healthy aging, nursing interventions, and clinical exercise. JOSPHE publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, scoping reviews, narrative reviews, case reports, and applied research studies that provide meaningful contributions to the understanding, assessment, prevention, or improvement of human performance and related health and functional outcomes. Through rigorous peer review and interdisciplinary scholarly exchange, JOSPHE seeks to connect fundamental research with clinical, occupational, sporting, and community applications. The journal is committed to promoting scientifically rigorous research that contributes to a deeper understanding of how humans perform, adapt, recover, and function across different contexts throughout the lifespan. JOSPHE welcomes contributions from researchers and practitioners worldwide and aims to serve as a scholarly forum for emerging evidence and innovative approaches in exercise physiology and human performance science.
